Front caption reads: "Residence of George Lee, Boylston Street" Back caption reads: "Boylston-Hyslop House. Boylston Str4eet. Built before 1740 by Dr. Zabdiel Boylston who introduced the practice of inoculation for small pox in 1721. In an older house, incorporated in the ell of the present house, once lived John Eliot, Apostle to the Indians. Susannah Boylston, the mother of President John Adams was born in this house." Additional hand-written note: "still standing," however there is no date for the caption and should not be treated as accurate.
